Amforen (dutch for amphorae) is a blog about natural wine, skin-contact wines (“orange wines”), Pét-Nat, Loire cabernet franc, lambic, and other spontaneously fermented beverages. The author (Aschwin de Wolf) promotes the use of organic ingredients, wild yeast, and the pursuit of terroir. As a native Dutch speaker, I also have a strong interest in historical Flemish documents about traditional lambic brewing and culture.  This blog is a continuation of the Lambic and Wild ale blog. I also was the organizer of the Portland Fermentation Society (2013-2018). You can find my Delectable profile and wine ratings here.
